Aldabras grow slower in their natural country of Origin. Aldabras are older for their size in Mauritius than they are in the USA Not all 29" Aldabras are the same, an Aldabra raised here in the US is larger and much younger.

Importing Female Aldabras has proven in the past to be the most likely to produce over their US counterparts.
